Build Your Own Weekly Workout Schedule: The Feature You've Been Asking For

A Personal Note Before We Dive In

Hi, it's Sanne.

For months, you guys have been asking me for one thing: the ability to build and schedule your own workouts in the app.

I am so excited to finally share that it's here.

You can now create your own custom schedule, mixing and matching from Pilates, Strength, and Gym classes, and plan out your entire week exactly how you want it. You don't have to follow a program if you don't want to, and you can build your own week tailored to your personal goals.

This one means a lot to me because we worked on this for so long. You guys told me exactly what you needed, and I wanted to make sure we delivered it.

Now let's talk about what this new feature actually does, and how to make the most of it.

Introducing: Build Your Own Weekly Workout Schedule

Up until now, the Soul Sync Body app has offered structured programs like the 28 Day Beginner Pilates Challenge and the 30-Day Signature Program to guide you step by step. Programs are still here, and they still work beautifully for people who want a clear, done-for-you roadmap.

But we know that real life doesn't always fit into a pre-built program. Some weeks you want more Pilates. Some weeks you want to lift heavier. Some weeks you just want a mobility day and a long walk. That's exactly why we built this feature.

With Build Your Own Weekly Workout Schedule, you can now:

  • Mix and match Pilates, Strength, and Gym classes in any combination
  • Assign specific workouts to specific days of the week
  • Build a schedule around your goals, energy levels, and lifestyle
  • Adjust your week at any time as your needs change
  • Skip a pre-set program entirely and design your routine from scratch

In short, the app now works around your life, instead of asking you to work around it.

Why We Built This Feature

If you've read our blog on how often you should do Pilates for real results, you already know that consistency matters far more than intensity. But consistency looks different for everyone.

A beginner following the Pilates for Beginners guide may want three short Pilates sessions a week. Someone deep into their fitness journey might want to combine Pilates with strength training four or five days a week. And someone recovering from a busy season of life might want a gentler, mostly mobility-focused week.

Structured programs are wonderful, but they can't account for every version of you throughout the year. This feature closes that gap. It puts the same progressive, effective workouts you already love inside the app directly into your hands, so you can build a week that actually fits your goals right now.

How to Build Your Own Weekly Schedule

Getting started is simple:

1. Choose your foundation Decide whether you want to start with a blank week or use an existing program as a starting point and customize from there.

2. Mix your workout types Browse Pilates, Strength, and Gym classes and drag them into the days that work for you. Want two Pilates days, two strength days, and one recovery day? Done. Want five days of Pilates because that's what feels good this week? Also done.

3. Assign your days Place each class on the day and time that fits your schedule. This turns your plan from a list of workouts into an actual calendar you can follow.

4. Adjust anytime Life happens. If your week shifts, so can your schedule. Swap a class, move a day, or completely rebuild your week whenever you need to.

This flexibility means you're no longer choosing between "follow a program" or "wing it." Now you can build something in between, or something entirely your own.

Who This Feature Is Perfect For

Beginners who want structure with flexibility If you're new to Pilates, you can still lean on our 10 Pilates Exercises Every Beginner Should Master as your foundation, and simply place those class types into a schedule that fits your week.

Members who want to combine Pilates and strength training As we covered in Pilates vs Strength Training: Which Is Better for Your Goals?, the two methods complement each other beautifully. Now you can build a week that includes both, in exactly the ratio that works for you.

Anyone tracking their progress over time If you're curious about what to expect as you build consistency, our Pilates Results Timeline blog breaks down what changes week by week. Pairing that timeline with a schedule you actually enjoy makes it so much easier to stay consistent long enough to see those results.

Busy weeks, travel weeks, or low-energy weeks Life doesn't always allow for a full 30-day program. On weeks like these, you can build a lighter schedule, mixing shorter Pilates sessions with recovery-focused classes, so you stay moving without burning out.

Tips for Building an Effective Weekly Schedule

A little structure goes a long way, even when you're building your own plan. Here are a few guidelines to keep in mind:

Balance intensity across the week Try not to schedule back-to-back high-intensity strength or sculpt sessions. Space them out with lower-impact Pilates or recovery days.

Include at least one recovery day Recovery supports muscle repair and helps prevent burnout. Even one gentle mobility or stretch-focused session per week makes a difference.

Start with 3–5 sessions per week If you're unsure where to begin, our blog on how often you should do Pilates is a great place to find the right frequency for your current stage.

Revisit your schedule weekly Your goals and energy will shift from week to week. Take a few minutes at the start of each week to review and adjust your schedule so it always reflects what you actually need.

Programs Are Still Here, Too

If you love the simplicity of a guided program, nothing changes. You can still follow favorites like the 30-Day Signature Program, Strength & Shred, or the 28 Day Beginner Pilates Challenge. Programs and custom scheduling now work side by side inside the app, so you can choose the approach that fits you best, or blend both.
